WHY DO ELECTROLYTES MATTER?
Your body is a kind of an electric machine. Electrolytes are the tiny particles your body relies on to carry electric currents and keep your cells hydrated and ready to do their work. Not enough potassium? Muscle cramps are just around the corner! Lost too much sodium in your sweat? The potassium you do have can’t do its job as well! Your body’s chemistry is amazing, and when you exercise for an hour or so, it needs you to supplement the electrolytes you’re losing with the natural electrolytes you’ll find in Re-Lyte Electrolyte Mix.
HOW TO MIX RE-LYTE LIKE A PRO
Mix one scoop of Re-Lyte into 20-24oz of water. Add more or less water depending on how you like it to taste.
After mixing, let sit for at least 30 seconds.
Shake it up again for another 10 seconds to let it fully dissolve. (Avoiding artificial ingredients means a little extra mixing.)
You may notice sediment at the bottom of your container when done. that is trace minerals from real salt that are safe and beneficial to consume.
WHY DOES RE-LYTE CONTAIN SO MUCH SALT?
Even when you're not sweating, your body needs salt.
Your body needs salt to stay healthy. Sodium helps keep the amount of water inside and outside your cells balanced. It also supports healthy nerve and muscle function. When you're sweating, you need to pay extra attention to your salt intake, because sodium is the electrolyte you lose most through sweat.
Most electrolyte drinks don't contain enough salt to replenish what you lose in your sweat. That's because they use cheap, processed salt that tastes so bad they can't include enough to actually replace what you're losing in sweat without making their product taste terrible.
Re-Lyte Electrolyte Mix uses delicious, unrefined Real Salt that allows us to deliver close to four times the sodium of other electrolyte brands and still taste great!
Isn't salt bad for us?
No Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL) is set for sodium because there's very little evidence that sodium causes toxicity in healthy people even at very high doses. The Chronic Disease Risk Reduction Intake (CDRR) is set at 2,300 mg per day. But this isn’t necessarily based on hard evidence. In his book The Salt Fix, Dr. James DiNicolantonio provides substantial research demonstrating that up to 3,000-5,000 mg of sodium per day is safe for many people (we recommend checking that book out if you haven’t already).
COCONUT WATER POWDER 80MG
Re-Lyte Electrolyte Mix is less sweet.
